    ELAC UBR62 Speaker Review

Thanks for the review! Dispersion looks better and wider than kef r3, albeit with limited distortion and spl capabilities.

    Bose TV Speaker Soundbar Review

Does this graph mean that it's actually producing 91 db's when the input is 96db (increased 20db from 76)?

Klipsch The Three Review (Powered Speaker)

I suspect the layout of the dual "tweeters(2.5in fullrange)" on the outsides is what is giving klippel the problem. It sees a symmetric sound field and is setting the measurement axis to the center, which is the woofer. Maybe setting the measurement distance to 2 meters instead of 1 could...

    Speaker driver beaming frequency formula

One discrepancy may be due to the "inch" number or the driver not actually being the diameter of the sound recording surface. The inches in drivers is usually the total diameter of the woofer flange, or the diameter of the screw holes. The actual sound radiating surface is usually an inch or...

    Revel F228Be Review (Speaker)

The benefit is that it responds much better to bass boost. Boosting bass below the tuning frequency (Steep rolloff area) does not work well , as the port is out of phase and is actually reducing the output. However, above the port tuning frequency, because the port is aiding in output, bass can...

    Revel F228Be Review (Speaker)

It's because they expect them to be used in different conditions, and have tuned bass differently 708p is tuned to have maximal flat response, but it rolls off steeper after that flat response. Revels have a very low port tuning, so their bass decreases a bit earlier, but the steep rolloff does...

JBL HDI-4500 Center Channel Speaker Review

Horizontal dispersion looks horrible. Is is this bad with other 2 way center speakers?

Kef R3 Bookshelf Speaker Review (Erin's Audio Corner)

This is because kef wants to get lower bass even if it sacrifices bass amount. They can tune the port higher for more flat response, but it would roll off sooner

Polk Atrium 4 Review (Outdoor Speaker)

Mainly because they have no ports due to weather sealing, and them having to be small doesn't help.

KRK ROKIT 5 Gen 4 Review (Studio Monitor)

I understand, then can you if possible show the most prominent 2nd and 3rd order distortions?

KRK ROKIT 5 Gen 4 Review (Studio Monitor)

That would be nice, but i think individual distortion orders should still be shown, as diffrent order distortions have diffrent audibility

Is there any benefit from woofers exceeding 5 inches, if matched with sub?

Depends on your usage. if you are pushing thx reference 105db peaks, a 5 in woofer isn't going to handle it even above 80hz.

    Kali LP-6 Review: Studio Monitor

Use a subwoofer, It seems resonances are much harder to control than chuffing, especially in ports that are not round shape.
