Took a drive to the other house... 12 miles away.

Nothing open for business.

Not 7/11. Not McDonalds. Not gas (although one seemed to be open to sell candy/snacks, I guess, but the pumps all had plastic bags over the handles). Not nothing.

Still pretty calm here, light breeze and misty rain, with a solid gray featureless sky.

Good news is things continue to push west a bit.

I've got a lawn chair ratchet strapped to a tree, and another to use as a seat belt.

That trajectory line above, out of the blue, was my own guess few days ago.
And, it can still go further west, in the water. The eye of the storm won't touch St Petersburg, in my calibrated guess. It will remain in the Gulf's water, IMO

She's a Cat 3 now, Irma.

I agree. Plus the East side is where he has some 'small' property.

Worst of it seems to have just passed according to radar.
Cinder block house I'm in is OK on the inside, we'll see what it looks like outside when the sun comes up.
My worries lye with my double wide back at the park, hope she's still there.
