My birthday today so had vegi burger and chips round at mums (being Vegi Ive never tried haggis) bro and mum had haggis, neeps, tatties though so tradition was followed and we poured a shot of Balvenie into dads ashes, big celebration at the Selkirk Arms hotel/pub round the corner from mums house where burns reportedly penned the Selkirk Grace, we could hear the bagpipes as the haggis was piped in to the pub as they parade it around the area beforehand.
Fun fact, haggi (haggis is plural) have two legs shorter than the others as they only run one way round the hills and glens
Have a search for Celtic Connections on YouTube as there’s a big festival up the road in Glasgow at this time every year
