Maybe because they realize that many so-called "audiophiles" aren't real adults but children who want to play with their toys. ;) Same as with smart phones. All kinds of people experiment with custom ROMs even when there's absolutely no reason to do it.

I guess you're one of those people who also think that speaker and RCA cables have individual sound profiles. ;)

Just got my Fosi BT 20 A pro from Amazon, but I'm a little surprised: Mine doesn't have the bronze-colored volume knob which is visible in all the ads, videos, and such. Everything else is as advertised.

Now that the 3030i's have been playing for 12, 13 hours I'm quite impressed with them. Watching DVDs all night and listening to pop music this morning, I can safely claim them to be substantially superior to the ELAC Debut's in depth of field and tonal substance, also the highs are better...

I've had floorstanders and "bookshelves" over the years (the largest were a pair of KEF Reference RF-7's), but, in smallish rooms, in my experience bookshelves produce a more open sound with better soundstaging. I'm using a sub for the low frequences anyway.
