I had the Topping Pre90 and still own the Benchmark LA4. The Benchmark is smoother and overall more pleasing to the ear in my experience. As an aside, the Topping Pre90 has a a very finicky and frustrating remote while the Benchmark is a complete pleasure to use. Just my 2-cents having owned...
