Yeah, mine certainly come with white inserts and without them they do sound distinctly bright-ish. I kind of suspect Oratory measured them with inserts due to +6db adjustment in the resultant EQ around 2300-ish Hz. Like, that's a lot and IMHO sounds a bit weird (Oratory EQ + inserts sounds...
