Review: Apple vs Google USB-C Headphone Adapters

A good dongle should transfer digital signal to analog without any "sounds better, darker, crispier etc". A good example is the Apple adapter - just a flat signal, what is received on digital input - the same will be sent from the analog output.

TempoTec Sonata BHD Pro Portable DAC & Amp Review

Ok friends, I sold my sonata bhd pro. I bought and used it only on PC with windows11. Found old Apple type C - 3.5mm adapter and hear no difference. 8$ vs 70$… Also don’t like this sex with firmware on bhd pro, no support, nobody replied to my letter. Even my old Hidizs S9 pro I liked more...

Review: Apple vs Google USB-C Headphone Adapters

Found this dongle at home (bought a two years ago) and it is nice, use it on Windows 11, selected 24bit 48KHz (max available format), enough power for my iems and Meze99. This dongle has no QC and each item can be different.

They support is sucks. I already sent them letter about different firmware - no answers. It seems like usual AliExpress purchase - you bought, added review and forget about any warranty or support.

TempoTec Sonata BHD Pro Portable DAC & Amp Review

Yes, you are right, thanks. Can not fix my original post already. So, probably the two best profiles or firmware - LMT and HMF, difference only in power. BTW, what do you prefer to adjust max volume on DAC and then use system volume or vice-versa: max in the system and adjusting the volume on...

TempoTec Sonata BHD Pro Portable DAC & Amp Review

Was updated the firmware, all 4 firmware just change that you can manually changed in the Config tab, but only one difference - what you manually changed will be reset in the next connection, but what was flashed - will be permanently saved. S-BHDPRO-HMF1.01 - most adequate preset - (2Vrms +...

TempoTec Sonata BHD Pro Portable DAC & Amp Review

Noticed with firmware S-BHDPRO-HMN1.01.bin on youtube when I change my place in the timeline toolbar I can hear some clack sound and then sound from video, burned default S-BHDPRO-HMF1.01.bin and this weird sound has gone. Why it is weird - because it is like some delay and turn on sound, Hidisz...

TempoTec Sonata BHD Pro Portable DAC & Amp Review

Thanks, I also decided to stay on windows default, like I had with Hidizs s9 pro. BTW, I like tempotec much more, so warm and smooth sound. And one more great thing - I can listen even very sensitive iem, because volume buttons help to choose right volume even at night, on Hidisz for example...

One more notice: when pre-Amp usually -8 or -11 with configs I have to increase level of volume in 2 times for hear all details again... What does it mean 'clipping'? Probably I don't hear it.
