Technics wireless Bluetooth earbuds - Anybody buy them and test drive yet?

Do you maintain a sortable ranking of TWS earbuds by ranking in categories such as transparency, SINAND and parity to FR Targets?

Thank you for posting these links. That data is really helpful. I don't think I would have ever found these Asian websites.

Great audio quality TWS for android: Soundcore liberty 4 nc

That might work for some people. But in situations where I would like to use Bluetooth earbud it's specifically because I don't want to encumbered by cables whatsoever. For example, exercising, lifting weights, or foam rolling.

I have considered this, let's call it, "hybrid approach" to personal wireless audio. It's an interesting idea. However, people are reluctant to choose this route because it has trade-offs. It's more cumbersome to have wires passing across the torso and Quidex-5K in a pants pocket.

Thanks for sharing the EQ profile. If I ever get this product I will give it a try.

Your comment is quite confusing. It seems that you are suggesting a solution consisting of a portable DAC with a built-in BT receiver with LDAC codec support. Is that correct? But then follow this with a difficult to parse sentence where you mention "dongle".

Until today I didn't really know much about the providence and management of RTINGS. I'm a naturally skeptical person. There's not a lot of information or reporting on the ownership or internal machinations of RTINGS. All I found was an interview in Fast Company and a reddit AMA. In some corners...

So there seems to be a potential problem with RTINGS audio tests for wireless earbuds. Some earbuds have support for lossless codecs and others do not. RTings tests mainly revolve around the frequency spectrum and how closely a given product hews to a designated ideal reference. But this...

Do you really trust rtings and their sound testing? Yesterday, I took a look at their test result tables for TWS earbuds. When sorted by "Neutral Sound", which is a catch all for several auditory tests, rtings put the $30 Skullcandy Dime 3 at the top with an incredulous rating of 8.0. Well, I...

You never mentioned your preferred music genres or your use case. How does the Liberty 4NC perform in windy conditions?

Audible difference in players? (Audirvana, JRiver, Roon, MusicBee, etc.)

This comment is a perfect example of spam. With its hyperbole it reads like a scripted testimonial. The account and the comment were made on the same day. This was the only comment from that account and the user was not active on this website since that day. Very good chance it's a sock puppet...

Audible difference in players? (Audirvana, JRiver, Roon, MusicBee, etc.)

Yes, but they charge $119 for Origin, a local media player that lacks streaming capabilities. That's the program I trialed. Foobar 32bit has some streaming capabilities with the requisite plugins installed.

Audible difference in players? (Audirvana, JRiver, Roon, MusicBee, etc.)

Turns out I was mistaken. Audirvana does not sound better than Foobar. It's also a pain to use. Audirvana seems unpolished as a piece of software and I say that as a Foobar user. I was just curious to test this program to see if my decade long cynical opinion on pay-for audio played was valid. I...

Audible difference in players? (Audirvana, JRiver, Roon, MusicBee, etc.)

Alex, I appreciate your posts. This week I downloaded Audirvana Origin for a trial just to see what the fuss was about. The sound from Origin was noticeably better to my ears than through Foobar2k. Indeed Origin sounds "sweeter" and more pleasing. Didn't matter if the audio track was 16bit Flac...

That webpage has been deleted. Any mention of "bit-perfect" seems to be scrubbed from the audirvana.com website. Hmm
