Just guessing, but given there's a PCM1795 DAC in there, I'd say it's analog going in to the power amp section. Pics here https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/jbl-705p-studio-monitor-review.11944/page-2
While you won't regret the UMIK, I have one myself, you can also do a lot with built in mics on iPhones/iPads/Android phones using apps like Speccy, Audiotools etc. It won't be accurate, but you can use them to correlate problem areas with what you are hearing and an EQ.
The small Dynaudios seem to excel at being punchy for their size. I had a set of the much older budget model DM 2/6 that went surprisingly loud. They had almost the same Dynaudio house curve as in this review, with that upper treble lift. For me it was a bit much after a while, but most "normal"...
The smallest iLoud MT sounded great to me, but only at low levels. The bottom end limits quite early and you can hear the ports when pushed at all. But I really liked their tuning.
The response charts should give you all the info on how they might sound compared to other speakers, but your room will have such a big impact that it's impossible for anyone to guess how they might sound in your space. Given the off axis characteristics, you would likely have good success EQing...
Would love to see how these compare to the JBL and Kali competitors.

I use just one as it is more useful in mono for me as this is the most common way people use them. The bass is exaggerated on them and it's a good way to check your bass isn't going to be out of control when it goes out onto this sort of device.
I've been referencing mixes on an Apple Homepod recently (the bigger one). It's great, will highlight if the bass is overdone and gives you a mono listening reference too.
It's definitely very present if the system can reproduce it. I always wondered if the CD master I have was an anomaly though, it really should have been high passed. Where did you take your sample from?
This Ani DiFranco track is a bit of an oddity for the bass thread. I remember my 4412As freaking out a bit with this when I first played it.
Strong low end energy all the way down to 5Hz. (Points are set at 5, 10 and 20 Hz) Not sure if the Youtube audio goes that low...
