FYI, I just got my Modius, ordered from Schiit.com, to Denmark. With shipping it was still cheaper than the EU prices of either http://www.schiit.co.uk/ and https://www.schiit-europe.com/ (where they are not in stock anyway) And shipping was super fast

Well, I just got a Modius, to go with my A90.. I will be a bit sad if this comes anywhere near at that price. But great to see Schiit bringing the competition!

I mean, the flexibility is nice, and it is nice to be able to use high sensitivity stuff balanced, and still have good volume control. I would always prefer to have the gain options. I have only used medium gain so far.. I think the only "issue" here, is yet another variable (input voltage)...

Not for me, I love my A90, and with XLR in, I doubt I would ever even need high gain, as I make all my headphones balanced.

I don't think it was tested, at least not in the original. I am currently using an A90 RCA in (until tomorrow) and I max out medium gain Balanced into my Sundaras. No idea what that means, but I assume I will not need nearly as much with XLR in.

The A90 was tested with XLR in, 4Vrms. It measured 2W @33ohm, Unbal out, matching the spec sheet.

I haven't gotten my Modius yet, but I have a Modi, and the included "PSU" is really simple, so even IF the PSU would make a difference, I would think it could only get better, not worse.

I had the same issue on my A90, only really audible at medium and high gain, but even with volume turned all the way down. Noticed the noise when moving the mouse, and tried opening a game, where it got really noticable, and the tone followed the framerate, which was pretty funny. This is to a...
