Following my previous comment about getting this the US version dongle, I now also own the ATH-R70x and for my use, it gets loud enough for me at 30/100 volume. Doesn't really feel like I'm missing out on something, as I also have an LG V50 which drives the headphone fine at around 25/75 volume...
