That's very similar to my experience. I started to leave the PA5 on and it started to hiss. Happened to both of my PA5s.

Not to mention some units (like mine) didn't exhibit the issue until after ~6months. Running normally for 4 months means absolutely nothing.

I am still waiting to hear about the supposed added 2nd year of the warranty.

Has anyone heard anything from them about the new 2nd year warranty?

Same for me. My first was from SZ and second Aoshida/Amazon. For the first, SZ ghosted me. Aoshida ended up telling me to ship it (me paying for it) to China with a bunch of bologna about declaring with fraud values. Please let me know how it works out for you. I am considering bugging Amazon...

Interestingly, today I forgot to turn on the fan pointing to my (second) PA5 and it started hissing after a few hours. I don't think it ever hissed with the fan on. Perhaps this is evidence pointing to the issue being thermally related. It would be good to finally hear from Topping.
