LaTeX or math input

There are a few situations where it'd be awesome to have the ability to enter LaTeX or otherwise type in math equations and have them rendered in a pretty and correct way. Is this on the table for ASR?

CodeCogs hosts an online LaTEX editor that allows one to generate hosted HTML for equations. Images of equations can be created and downloaded for insertion into posts—far easier than having to incorporate a LaTEX editor into a website. Overleaf has an extensive LaTEX reference to help in writing equations in LaTEX. Additional LaTEX resources in the Comprehensive LaTEX Symbol List. There are BB codes for Latex. The forum does use a BBCode editor. It looks like XenForo has advanced BB code packs that I think support the LaTex extensions. I'm not sure what the cost would be and I don't manage XenForo, so cannot really say how well it would work.

Though generating images is likely easy enough, if inconvenient for the author.
