Hello Folks,
wish you all Happy Eastern and a few days of calm down and good sound therefore.
This days I have recovered my old Tube Amp, 25 years old in the meantime, equipped with a new set of tubes, a matched pair of TAD KT88 „red socket“ and a Quartett of 7022 tubes (also TAD) in a SRPP configuration. All that stuff on a provisorium wooden plate built.
The tube amp is driven directly from the Benchmark DAC2D variable output. Digital source is my old Sony CDP 707ES.
On the DXT MON speakers the sound is very pleasant and a reason to dream in music. Speaker efficiency of 83db is not that great for tube amplification but the 2x25W of this amp drives the speakers to really loud levels.
Greetings,
Walter
