I've been meaning to contribute to this thread - hopefully this hasn't been listed yet.

Rico Rodriguez, Man From Wareika, originally released on Blue Note and I think the only reggae ever released by them. In his later years Rico was often seen in Jules Holland's band and came to fame in the 80's playing with the Specials.

Great album art, too.

So these guys are Russian? Very nice blues no matter where they are from.
I was surprised too. Kept searching for them and that .ru link would show up, making me think it was a malware site. But eventually I clicked on it and saw it was legit.

There's a Blue Note Charlie Hunter release called Natty Dread that has covers (sort of) of Bob Marley's Natty Dread...

Can never go past a dose of this ...

I used a Greatest Hits CD of this chap for ages, when tuning up a system config years ago - if a rig can't get the groove of this sort of material happening, at houserockin' levels, then it ain't in the game ...

Another goody,

The distortion guitar should absolutely explode out of the speaker, and as it continues should rip your room to shreds by the bite of the distortion harmonics - if it doesn't have a "killer" sound, well ...

Visited the local audio friend yesterday, rig was in pretty good shape, and he's a keen Yes fan - a favourite is the first track from this,

Excellent for assessing a system's status; this can extremely easily sound like a turgid mess, a "Why am I listening to this sound stew?!!" - but, it pays rich rewards: the better the playback, the more it comes to life - even yesterday it still was well off its potential - I have yet to hear it fully realised, but it's clear what an optimum presentation would come across like.
