Is there some kind of rationale behind your mods AJ? Other than making money I mean.

I can tell you 8376 ways to "mod" it a make it sound "better".
Don't ask me how in physically measurable terms, but I take cash or credit.

Cool. I wanna stick some tubes on that sucker. Make it really hum.

I hear chicks really dig tubes.

Who cares what it sounds like? With all of the features, I don't want to be distracted by a bunch of music.

Looks like a nice unit. Have you calculated the number of permutations that result from the formats and filters available. Then how many man hours are required to choose the optimum version. It could be there won't be time for a bunch of music in that context. So your problem may turn out to be self correcting.

DACs. No need to get possessive.

If you want something in the league of the 326 Euro Mirand DAC, you will have to do better than the $5000 Resonessence Mirus. I had 2 of them before demoing the Mirand. They are gone now. But retail wise, you'll have a hard time beating the Mirus for $5000.

It doesn't look attractive; bland dark force from the Star Wars saga with no character fleshing.
Five grands, I want some "visual" connection. Not just audio nirvana. :)

Can you undress her (remove her top) and show us her curvatures, lines, and parts and all?
If she has guts in, it might help us to appreciate more her outside.

Is that on DSD from a PC or with raw PCM?

It's a very well built DAC.
