After much consideration, I have decided to build SB Acoustics’ Gema 3-way loudspeakers (LINK).
I do not have any electronics to use with the speakers other than a Windows laptop that will be running Foobar.
I have no experience with active filters or DSP. I own a UMIK-1, but have not yet used it.
At present, I am leaning toward using Hypex FusionAmp FA123s amps (LINK), but am open to using the passive filters available from Madisound and a different amplifier setup.
I would greatly appreciate reactions to these alternatives and will gladly receive any recommendations that anyone may have to offer.
I still have much to learn about modern audio equipment, but will do my best to answer any questions that you may have.
