Your latest cool purchase

I borrowed it from my local library :) But I wonder if he'll eventually regret some of his advice: In one instance, he talks about even getting rid of things that he really likes.
I certainly don’t want to drive it to the extreme like in living in a 20 square meter apartment in Tokyo with almost no furniture or stuff. But I think it might be an inspiration. I will see.

I have to share this luggage I bought on AliExpress. It took a full month plus another week to get them but it was well worth it.

We needed 4 large check-in bags for an upcoming 50 day cruise/land/flying vacation and searched available options extensively. I settled on this 29”aluminum luggage. They are everything I had hoped they would be. I’ve looked at similar luggage from the big brands that sell for upwards of $1k per piece and I cannot see much if any difference. They are identical to the Riigid luggage being advertised on social media. These four bags were just under $480 all-in for all four. Quite happy.

Nice audacious Rimowa copy. Fingers crossed they are as sturdy as the original. Have a great trip!

ps. These are the challenges, and maybe why high quality products may survive where others don’t. Also some have a working supply of spare parts.

This thread will be the death of me as I'm a dopamine shopper.

I'll do a bit of catching up. The pictures of the books are not mine, I also have 4-6 and am waiting for them to release the rest.

And for something relevant... I finally moved my f226Be and Monolith m-15s (second one in the back) into my listening space... waiting for some peace in the house to start MSO/REW/Dirac stuff. Excuse the state of the room. I live in an old farmhouse and this quasi unfinished basement is my retreat. Behind is my L800 which I've had for a bit over a year.

and an ipad that I intend to use for drawing. The plan is, go to my retreat, light some incense, put on a good album, and draw or read.

I notice fragrances, watches, knives, pens, guitars...... ya this thread is going to be trouble fuel.

Here is my very modest watch collection. It seems to get anything else I want it's going to be a jump up in price and I would rather spend it elsewhere, but one day!

Doesn't it feel great when you shop/wager to buy products sight-unseen, and then, when they finally arrive; you are delightful as to how well your gamble paid off.
At least for me, even the final few steps of taking apart the shipping box and the other protective coverings is kind of a giddy moment!
No?

OT: There really should be a separate new topic: "Product(s) You Gambled Upon, But Couldn't Return"

Wuben G5 RGB flashlight was a gift. Actual size approximates that of a Zippo lighter, and being milled from a billet of aluminum, it has some heft.

Something came through from my aunt in Nova Scotia for my Xmas :D, 14g of pleasant sativa which I’m diving into to right now, it’s not the usual strong stuff but more of an anytime helper smoke/vape at only 7mg THC per gram

About 2 months ago I developed arthritis in both my wrists and hands. Short version, after both prescription pain killers and OTC, it turned out that THC Gummies did the trick!

Should help with my incredibly tight muscle spasms, SPMS is a bloody drag 24/7 and so tiresome, of all the neurological conditions you can develop I guess my immune system really fkin hates me, i really hit the jackpot with this one
Is that 'crap' legal to ship; in and around you?
In the olden days, to camouflage such crappy shipments we'd resort to coffee grounds and/or peanut butter and it worked... but ONLY if you were careful enough not to handle the box with the same hands that handled the content.

A Mission 778X integrated amp. I just got a pair of Fosi V3 mono amps so I didn't need it, but I've been intrigued by it for awhile and found a great price on a new one, so I bought it.

I could have just let it be, by giving you the Like....... but, I must say, your photos made me swoon!
Congrats, on a new acquisition for your harem!

ADD: I bet even @amirm would be glad to test it, if you are willing to share its performance for the history books and according to the PinkPanthers

Thank you! Yeah, since I first saw this amp I loved the looks and simplicity of it, as well as the half width size.

It is essentially the same amp as the Leak Stereo 130 but with a couple of differences: The Leak has tone/balance controls and 12v triggers and is wider at 12-15/16" wide vs 9.3" for the Mission without either.

I could've gotten a similar deal on the Leak, but for one I wouldn't use the tone controls, plus I don't like how there is no indicator of the volume level on the Leak whereas the Mission has a very cool ring of LEDs around the volume knob to indicate level. And I just plain like the looks of the Mission better. :)

Good idea on sending it in to @amirm for testing, perhaps I'll do that in the near future!
