Your latest cool purchase

I’m still uneasy about paying this much  for what is essentially a point-and-shoot, but I love it. And hey - you only live once!
Sweet! As I already own a Sony A7R4 + 35/2.8 Sonnar lens, I dunno that I could justify one for myself, but I can understand the appeal.

Gear binge continues unabated.

It just keeps getting sillier: Nikon miniatures + Labubu = Photo Labubu? I have the former on hand, but the latter doesn't ship 'till October

Marshall DSL1 for my apartment living room rig. So far I haven't gotten a tone out of it that I care for so it might have to go back.

Weird the site keeps putting my photo uploads sideways. Probably user error on my side somehow.
I still have a Behringer amp I got, oh - 15 years ago, keyboard... for guitar and bass I bought the Boss KATANA:GO , and I have to say I love it. Worth checking it out.

Somehow I think you'd love it.

Cheers

A follow-up to post #423.

Was surprised to discover that I'm not the first to think of such a combination, as a number of AliExpress vendors offer photographer's outfits and miniature cameras for Labubus.

Oh interesting. Was not aware of that. I picked up a Fender Mustang Micro headphone amp and it's OK. Just prefer an actual speaker to HPs. So I don't know what to do with the DSL1. A few more nights of frustration with it and Sweetwater will be getting it back...

Edit: Boss does make really excellent stuff.

They do - and, in case - I still have both of Tom Scholz's Rockman - Guitar and bass... Bought in L.A. oh, about 1982... Good Times.

Ordered today…

Mine has been excellent.

The medium-term plan is to buy a Trinnov Nova in order to use both this and the Sigberg Inkognito Gen 2 purchased used this summer.

The new speakers arrived awhile ago. This is my first experience with Elac speakers. Upon opening them up I was very impressed with the looks and build quality for the money. The cabinets are rock solid and the walnut vinyl veneer looks much better than I expected.

I'm now listening to Dire Strait's Brothers In Arms and early on I'm liking what I'm hearing. They remind me a bit of my Dynaudio BM5 MKIII studio monitors early on with their neutral sound. Good thing, because that is what I was looking for. Very positive early impressions, much more listening to be done...

Hierochloe odorata or Anthoxanthum nitens or sweet grass or zubrovka or manna grass or Mary's grass or vanilla grass or holy grass etc.?..

On topic: $5 extension cord with a button; now I'll can turn on and off 5 amplifiers (total 8 V3 channels) with one click.

I realized that when I made my post about my Fender Frontman 25R guitar amp, I failed to show the guitar I intended to use with it, the Washburn C5CE:

It's a China manufactured classical style guitar, has a built-in tuner (good) and a piezo pickup (not so good).

The sound coming off the pickup is very bright, too bright for the Frontman, though I suspect that won't be an issue in the long run. My Martin RS2 has a nice enough pick-up and a tone control that rolls off treble. And it is a Martin, after all. But the Washburn is a superb practice instrument with great intonation and "playability" along with a sweet tone. Not bad for $150

My most recent "cool purchase":

The 7Hz x Crinacle Zero:2 IEM is everything Amir says it is, a true giant-killer. The next time I play at the Lincoln assembly, I'll be plugging my Washburn into the group's PA and monitoring on these cheap (but awesome sounding) IEMs.

Actually no idea; photo was taken by the guy who made the bag in France.

(Highly recommend)
