It’d be soooo much easier if we could just grow new body parts like salamanders , I guess we’re just not quite as evolved as we consider ourselves to be.

A 2nd Studiomaster Sense 12A (active stage monitor). Pic shows the 12A+, the only difference is that the 12A enclusure is carpeted.
Got it at our local pro shop as demo with full warranty for € 300 (normal price is € 435.-). The first one I got used for just € 100,- (insanely cheap, but later I found out that the second input does not work with XLR, just with TRS3.5 - however I don't need it anyway so fine with me). In sum I spared more than 50%.

A vintage "Hit" camera. Sold as toys or cheap novelties starting in the immediate postwar years into the 1970s. I purchased mine for the box art. This one probably dates back to the 1950s, but as a kid in the 1970s, I recall seeing them advertised in comic books, and even sold vending machines, complete with a leather case and some film.

Sony DSC-RX1R III
I almost pulled the trigger several times in the past on the RX1R II, but its age was showing: outdated autofocus, tiny battery, and overall sluggish operation ultimately made me pass.
Now with the RX1R III, I finally feel it completes my lineup of compact fixed-lens cameras — over time I’ve settled on preferring my cameras as small as possible.
I’m still uneasy about paying this much
for what is essentially a point-and-shoot, but I love it. And hey - you only live once!

Thank you! I too learned photography back in the film days of the 1970s. I never owned an interchangeable-lens camera until the 2010s. But after a few years of frustration with not having the "best" lens on at the exact moment I needed it, I gradually went back to using fixed-lens designs almost exclusively.
Hey, one just needs like, two Hasselblads, a couple of Nikons, and good to go - I mean shoot...

So I received my Mathmos Fireflow Pod today! It's a tiny candle powered lava lamp from the original inventors of the lava lamp. I went for the Violet with orange lava model in silver, together with a Clear with red lava bottle. Both pretty cool already during the daylight.
Here it is during the evening after some warming up, together with a few of my other lights. One of them being a 20 inch Luminglass plasma disk, the other big one a giant Odyssey/Spencer's Blacklight Rocket (UV-light tube).
Other background props are a Akai GX-635D reel-to-reel that used to belong to my grandfather and a Technics SL-1400 turntable.
