The German magazine offers 12 choices, and we get just two? Then it's the whole 'defining/dividing genres' game. For example, I'd lump rock, hard rock, and metal as one group. And, there's a bunch of other genres missing, albeit, I don't claim to be able to read German.

Germans apparently don't understand American music forms very well. And have never encountered roots or bluegrass.

Yes, it's a metal sub-genre.

Too lumped together for this music lover. I like folk and blues but not much country.
I like some Medieval (Gregorian chant) and Renaissance music, most Baroque, a lot of Classical, most Romantic but not all 20th and 21st century music.
So there are a large number of genres given individual votes (and I am not so sure what some even are), and the stuff I like lumped with stuff I don't much into 2 genres.
No votes from me then!

I doubt if a pole could ever be devised that would satisfy all music lovers. Even just going for the broadest of genres would leave most dissatisfied.

I just picked all the genres. Don't have a favorite in particular that's listed. Don't have anything hated that's listed. It just seemed like the logical choice.

My favorite music tends to be in the EDM genre and subgenres, such as dubstep. I love EDM because of the bass and the drops.
