you have been in a coma for 2 years, which movie should you watch?

"you have been in a coma for 2 years, which movie should you watch?"

All That Jazz

Is funny to me seeing a Spanish series mentioned out of my country!

“La casa de Papel” (Money Heist) was a great success among thieve’s series, I highly recommend first two seasons. I’m watching now 3 body problem, and speaking about series I am very fun of Fallout
LOVE Casa De Papel, personally. Highly recommended if you like heist movies and appreciate absurdly melodramatic plots.

Also not a movie but in the vein of good non-Japanese animation, Scavenger's Reign is really good. Really imaginative "stranded on a hostile planet" series. Just came out on Netflix I think.

I'll also add a +1 for Poor Things. Don't read up on it before you watch. Absolutely one of the most unhinged movies I've seen, but extremely good. Emma Stone fully earned her oscar for that one.

Anything by Lanthimos really, but Poor Things is the most fun (so far). I’d say start there for sure.

Since you lost 2 years in coma, it would be no time to look backwards.
I recommend some current release. 'Current' like 2024.
You also would want some high-tech gadgetry to catch up with current tech.
How about a flick that is 3-fer: Action+Comedy+Thriller... if you don't include Alfie?
Do something different and pick a loser movie: One that did not get rave reviews or one that cost $200Million but only grossed ~$100M.
Argylle
Some clever movie w/a plot that centers around an author, who - unwillingly - gets sucked into the world of spycraft (Brit-style; a la Kingsman) after realizing that the almost finished Book#5 is mirroring real-world events that are taking place.
Best to watch with your better half as it will be enjoyable for both sides.

So I am 99% sure the last movie I watched was the 2021 007 in March 2022.
What have I missed so that I can catch up?
please suggest me a movie or two.

Should I say what I like?
Let me just say what I don't like: - action without any real plot. - slow-ass drama. anything targeted for kids, like superheroes. - romances. - unfunny movies that are only funny for nerds.
Ok, if there is one genre I favor it is suspense. but good suspense. not the kind of suspense where the only suspense is some unanswered questions. But I am not limited to this genre.
Thanks
That last James Bond movie was so bad I'd rather have been in a coma too. Definitely put me off movies for quite a while.

After two years of coma, whatever you do, do not check the News out.
Or a loud sigh of WTF would be the last words out of your mouth before you close your eyes again!

Obviously not, but if I ask for movies in general the topic is kind of pointless, and many of the older all-time greats I probably watched.

The reason I asked is that I have probably not found more than a dozen or so movies made this century worth watching and even then few have been particularly memorable. I fear limiting your search to the last two years will not turn up much of anything worthwhile. That said, I do have a bit of a thing for plotless and pretentious arthouse fayre, preferably in a language I don't understand and the more catatonically slow the better. So maybe our tastes don't quite coincide ... ;-)
