you have been in a coma for 2 years, which movie should you watch?

Dune is my new favorite of the year, both parts

The good part is after seeing Dune 2 you can safely slip into a 2-year coma again. Chances are when you wake up from that coma you may not have to wait much longer to see part-3.

I resisted even Blade Runner 2049, also from Villeneuve, which is way slower than Dune

I shudder to think how the asr commentariat would fair on Jeopardy: YOU GAVE THEM THE ANSWER IN YOUR QUESTION!

Coma (1978)

Definitely an underated film from yesteryear. Remember seeing it at the cinema at the age of 13. Kinda freaked me out as it is quite dark. For the time.

Speaking of your country, my wife and I just came back from a two week trip to Spain. We visited Moraira, Toledo, El Escorial and Madrid. Absolutely loved it!
Come to Galicia if you love white sand beaches and good seafood!

Lovely forests also…

Is allowed to make regional promotion on ASR? :)

Asian Nurses 7.
I think the OP is from Brazil.
So setting aside your personal quirks! (let's call it that . . ;)) I think "Brazilian hot Nurses" would be more appropriate. Preferably, watching it with a hot Brazilian nurse.

I will get hate, but I call nothing special on that one. entertaining though
A mater of taste, I red the book also and enjoyed both. What I admire most in Kubrik’s films are his talent to photography composition, is present in all of his films but probably in Barry Lyndon is where he shines: all frames of the film are like renaissance pictures and the scene of seduction with Barry’s future wife with Schubert music and without any word (only sight and gesture exchanges) is sublime.

But aesthetics is just an opinion, cannot prove it! :)

Everything Everywhere All at Once, Poor Things, The Batman, The Menu, All Quiet on the Western Front, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish are some really good movies from the past two years.

And on the topic of slow-ass dramas that OP didn't want I could still recommend watching Zone of Interest, The Holdovers, The Whale and The Banshees of Inisherin.

These are not movies, but short series on Netflix. If you like good heist movies, and don't mind Spanish with subtitle, the original Money Heist on Nextflix is great. For a good sci-fi, try Three Body Problem.

“La casa de Papel” (Money Heist) was a great success among thieve’s series, I highly recommend first two seasons.

It was a fever here in Brazil. Like...any Netflixer probably watched it. personally, I don't have the patience for series, though I watched a couple with my ex. My favorite was the Brazilian "Good Morning, Verônica" (1st season)....and it's not because it's Brazilian. Second season I already gave up at the start, because it was much weaker.

Mars Express is an absolute banger if you like sci-fi and/or cyberpunk. 90 minutes and not one wasted. The animation is cool enough that it wouldn't be boring even if you ignored the plot. Like if you enjoyed Cowboy Bebop and/or Ghost in the Shell, it's a must-watch. If you liked Blade Runner (either) it's a solid rec.

So you've seen every movie worth watching made in the 100 or so years movies have existed prior to 2022?

Obviously not, but if I ask for movies in general the topic is kind of pointless, and many of the older all-time greats I probably watched.
