York DSP devices

Hard to beat miniDSP PocketADC, plus flexibility of a modular turnkey gizmo can be repurposed later...
This is what I was able to achieve with ES9822:

But this is mostly for measurements purpose, I use Cosmos ADC but really wanted integrated solution: S/PDIF in/out + DAC + ADC. So I assemble such device as prototype:
1. ADC ES9822
2. DAC ES9039 (From Ali, same as @Koifarm uses)
3. The DSP board below with York interfaces as 2 channel in + 2 channel out

Maybe I mixed some things up.
I guess, one reason for that there are many different things that I am trying to put together into some organized product line.
But so far it is just many construction pieces of software and hardware :)
 
I think Cosmos use only one opa1612 at every input channel. Your input is a little different or not?
Yes. One of the issues with Cosmos ADC - it has quite low input impedance.
So in this one the first stage is OPA1612 as buffers to provide higher input impedance, and then - diff amp OPA1632/1633 as the filter.

I wish inexpensive finished OTS products based on that were available in 6 or 8 channels.

But as I stated, within that category, 3x PocketADC is hard to beat.

What eclipsevl is doing is on another level entirely from the PocketADC and of great interest to a fairly wide following. He also posts this on diyAudio and I follow his work with great admiration. I already have his York USB interface and just purchased the DSP board to begin experimenting with active speaker design using FIR filters which the lesser Analog Devices chips can't do. I find the only way to truly learn how to use products like this are to jump in and start doing and make mistakes. It is how I finally got comfortable with Sigma Studio. I started with ADAU1701 DSP boards and am stepping up to the ADAU1466 to tackle more advanced designs. I honestly do not think it is possible to make and sell an all-in-one device like you seem to want at the prices eclipsevl charges. If you want inexpensive finished OTS product, look at the Down4Sound EZDSP68+. It has decent noise and distortion specs and the PC configuration software can handle active crossovers and parametric EQ. I own one and at $269, it is hard to beat.

A new version of 2x4 DSP is sent to production.
Updates:
1. The USB is now included in the on-board MCU, no need for external interfaces. Also, it now has 2 channel USB audio input.
2. S/PDIF in and out moved to separate connector

It is designed to be used as a plate amp, it has aluminum base plate as heat spreader. Ant there is a separate interface board with connectors, volume pot and ADC for analog input:

I am thinking to create a separate topic for the amp a bit later. Still couple of things to do in firmware to enable flexible configuration of master volume controls and led functions

It is this module then, it has 2 analog inputs, 4 analog outputs.

ADC is PCM1809, DAC - PCM5242
I am considering making 2x4 DSP on ADAU1701 too, it would allow to make cheaper 2x4 version. Less DSP, no USB and S/PDIF but still enough for PEQ, Xover and limiter.

On the 12 pin connector (left) there is USB port for DSP configuration, 2 GPIO pins, 2 AUX ADC for potentiometers, I2C (just in case)

2x AUX ADC inputs for potentiometers
2x GPIO - configurable (encoder/IR control, LEDs)
I2C routed to 12 pin connector, available for extensions or programming DSP with custom program from sigmastudio.
Power supply 7-36V

I am going on vacation for several weeks so will continue work on these in august. Need some firmware updates and updates to the GUI software.
