Distortion on the best measuring of the two new Schiit MB dacs (based on TI chips) rises at the top end, leading the author to comment:

In other words, where the distortion is may matter more than how much distortion there is.

Harmonics of 1 kHz land where our hearing is most sensitive. Harmonics of higher frequencies routinely fall outside of hearing range. So while it is good to have uniform performance -- and reason why I run wideband tests -- you can't take your eye off what matters. There is a reason why 1 kHz SINAD has had such staying power. The only source of measurements for these devices is from the manufacturer, I thought people might be interested.
