Sorry, what knowledge are we missing? Amps are not some mystical device... they're just amps.

It might be I have not been clear , I apologize .What I wanted to mean is merely that to judge a device you should also listen to it . Of course listening is a process which can be affected by personal tastes but according to me to rely only on measurement to give a final verdict is limitative . By the end I did not state that amplifier is a marvelous device , I have only said that at low power the amp. plays quite well ( for the price) , despite the measures ( or my be I have been luckier )

For speakers and DSP, sure. For electronics, the measurements tell all. And what they tell here is that this amp is a badly designed and implemented disaster.

No, measurements only go one way: if good enough you know its good.
If not: you don't know if it is audible. If it is not audible, who are we to say its a bad design?

I reply in fact not to you, nice review I must admit, but to the “haters” that comment without having the knowledge for it
I have bought this amplifier an I use it in my holidays house, a flat, indeed small.
Well using it at low volume, I think 5 w no more, with high efficiency loudspeaker , it sounds very well , mid very nice, high very well represented, low frequency not so tight. But for the price is not bad at all. I have another equipment for my big living room that obviously sounds better ( but overall it costs 7k instead of 550 ) . When you do not need high power is really nice , for high pressure hearings obviously it distorce and it doesn’t fit for it. Also the Deckware sebaufo , gorgeous amplifier gives only 2,5 w . That which is really annoying are people commenting without knowledge , laughing etc. I am old , I plays piano and I have the absolute pitch and my ears “ have heard things you people would never believe “ to paraphrase Rutger Hauer speech in blade runner ( for example couple of mono krell amplifier driving the first magnet planar loudspeaker … and many other)
Thanks for your review very professional
How is $600 for 12 watts of power (at best) 'not bad'? Buying an amp like this in 2025 is like buying a car with only 12 horsepower.

I can sort of understand it if you were buying something that was made in the 1920s for the vintage appeal, the craftsmanship of the time and for owning something historic but not this.
