Hi all,

I recently bought a Yamaha RX-V6A and a 5.1.2 speaker setup:
  • Fronts: Indiana Line Diva 5
  • Surrounds: Indiana Line Diva 3
  • Atmos: Indiana Line RD 280
  • Center: Indiana Line Diva 7
  • Subwoofer: Indiana Line Basso 880
  • Room Size: 22m²
  • Listening Use: 80% movies, 20% music
This is my first home theater system, and I’m still waiting for its delivery. As an audio amateur, I’m trying to learn more and get the best setup possible.

I’m considering adding the AIYIMA A70 as a power amp for the front speakers and need some advice:
  1. Would the AIYIMA A70 improve sound quality for the Diva 5 fronts compared to the RX-V6A?
  2. Is there something better for ~$140 USD?
  3. Should I focus on other channels (e.g., center or surrounds) instead?

Thanks for your help!

I'm so dumb. I though I can use AIYIMA A70 as a power amplifiers

Not very likely

Is there something better for ~$140 USD?

Again, probably not - I'd suggest using the Yamaha for a while. You'll almost certainly find it is fine.

Should I focus on other channels (e.g., center or surrounds) instead?

No - if you want external amplification it should be Left/right first, then center. But to better the yamaha, you really need to be doubling the power (up to at least 200W), and you can't do that for $140. Again, I'd leave it for now. In fact I have done. Still using my similarly powered AVC3800 amps and it sounds great.
