Well, you already have YPAO, bass management, Musiccast, loudness, enough watts... Basically you would upgrade the amplification part, which is not small thing.
However, I am in other dilemma. I have both Rn803d and AS1100. 1100 is better, but YPAO (courtesy of Rn803d) does not make a difference in my room. So, I am doubting that Rn2000 will do better than As1100, either by the amplification or by Ypao. Not too many reasons to order the dam' shiny good looking box

Let's see if Armin will review any of them. I bought the rn803d based on his review.

Well, it seems YPAO can only be used in automatic mode, so you have to live with it's result or deactivate it. No rec select and no pre-out/main-in loop either.
Shame.
The enclosure of the RN1000a and RN800a are based on the old A-S300 (10kg class) line, with a different front plate obviously. That should keep cost down. They have nothing in common with the RN2000a (25kg class).
The power amp section and general layout seems to be based on the A-S701/801, R-S700 and R-N 803D. Same old, same old, which is good in my book, no need to reinvent what works.
Well, they are fundamentally different, check out the guts of this A-S1000 (25kg class) and A-S701 (10kg class):
Jep, looks like just a refresh of the RN803D platform. Didn't have that yet, so i can't tell for sure how much commonality is there, but i suspect it will be a lot, like 99%.

Quite a significant price difference (+50%) between the R-N800a and the R-N1000A for an HDMI entrance and supposedly more qualitative materials. I don't understand the added value of HDMI to optical connection for a 2.1 system. Isn't the main point of HDMI ARC to allow pass-through of fancy multichannel audio formats? Is it just about the convenience of using the TV remote for volume control? €500 for that convenience?
Nevertheless, I find the R-N800a quite an attractive proposition for a 2.1 system. If I understand correctly YPAO let's you put a high pass and low pass on the mains / subwoofer out?

Convince me not to switch from nr803d to rn1000 or rn2000a.

I will wait for Amir's review, if it ever comes, and then decide whether or not to spend 3500 euros.
The RN2000a is clearly an upgrade in build quality. Not sure i can or should stop you there.
But the RN1000 isn't much of an upgrade, it's just a facelift.

I have heard no difference between an A-S701 (which is what i suspect would be inside the RN1000) and a A-S1200 (which is what i suspect would be inside the RN2000a).
Doesn't mean you can't hear a difference, but there is my opinion. Either there are no audible differences (my suspicion) or they are tiny and don't matter (could be) or they are fundamental and i have wooden ears (don't think so
).On paper the A-S 1200 has more power into difficult loads, a bit more power and a vastly better phono pre-amp.
Then why did i keep the A-S 1200 over the A-S 701? For me it's more than just amplification, i also like a good looking amp with a certain heft and an aura of solidity. It just looks and feels great.
If money is no problem, i'd go for the RN2000a. If you want to get rid of the 803D, i never had one to take pics and would be interested if you are in Europe.
If sound quality is your main concern and you don't care for heavy stuff, or money is tight, stick to what you have.
