Can someone clarify for me that if I have the R-N1000-A, and I turn "ON" YPAO, am I able to only use bass management settings such as crossover frequency, subwoofer gain, etc and not use the room correction features?

Yes, you can do exactly this by turning off the EQ. But you still have to run through the YPAO procedure first.

So you can run through the YPAO, only change the crossover point such as cross the main speakers at 80hz, then turn off EQ and the settings remain. Can you explain a little more how this goes down. Thanks!

That’s exactly right. YPAO will automatically set the crossover but you can change it to any of the other options after you unlock the YPAO settings after running through the setup process.

Great thanks. Hey random question, do you know those feet come off with a screw or are they permanently attached?

I ended up buying used from Amazon and surprise surprise it came severely damaged. I have a hunch that happened during shipping. I’m shocked how poorly it was packed. Will be returned tomorrow and another on the way.

Sorry to see the damage from shipping. Chalk one up for Amazon replacing it.

I contacted Amazon customer service to see if they would consider a refund without the return. Sometimes they will do that w/ bulky return items that essentially will go in the landfill. In this case, they denied my request but DID send UPS to pick up the item from my doorstep so no lugging it around.

Possibly they will seek damages from the shipper and then auction it off? Or one of those mystery pallets they sell.

Yeah definitely. The "amazon used" packaging was dogshit. And USPS did not handle the package well, especially when they dropped the package on it's side at my doorstep. My doorbell camera picked up the whole thing...stung a little to witness.

Paint by numbers not internal amplifier stages. It's more like A-S 30x to R-N800A, A-S 50x to R-N1000A (as it whose with R-N803) and probably A-S 700 ~800 line to R-N 2000A. Old R-N602 used really low end under the A-S/R-S 200 line which is let's say bare minimum of what you want and hopefully new R-N600A switched to that stage at least, old R-N402D used it. Neither of new line represents value. Gold in that segment is if you can find new with warranty A-S 700 for 500 $/€ or less (old stock) but that would be hard and second hand R-S or A-S 700 for 200~250 is also a great deal (as long as you don't mind second hand and that you will probably be able to find only black one's either new or second hand).
The R-N800A and R-N1000A have the same amp and it's based on the a-s701

A-S701

@gasolin75 AS/RS 700 represents value for old unbalanced analog motorised input stage which has about 10 dB better SNR (110 dB) than anything they offered later on under A-S 1100 series. And because you might be able to get it for good price if you are very lucky. It's a same amp, still not sure they used same plates and Sunken transistor pairs on R-N 800A, on 803(D) they used ones as in A-S501.
