Hi folks!

Leaning towards a streaming amp around 1000 euros, maybe used. The Yamaha R-N 800/1000 and the Marantz line 60N or 40N has some great reviews. What are your thoughts and pics? Maybe even slightly older Roksan Atessa and Technics SU-GX70 should be considered as they fit within the budget as used. The amp is going to drive my MA Silver 100 G7 paired with an old Velodyne SPL 1000 Ultra.

Thanks

Consider looking at the streaming amplifiers sold by WiiM. They offer the option to apply Parametric EQ and room correction for your listening space.

Yes, it would be nice with room correction abilities. Maybe I should consider the class D amps as well, the Marantz M1 has Dirac, and the Bluesound Powernode and NAD C700 to I think. A friend of mine have tried the M1 and was really impressed of it.

I have an R-N1000A and it sounds great. Two benefits it has over the Marantz 40N/60N is its bass management, with a high pass filter for the mains and Its rudimentary room correction capability, but it is not as sophisticated as an AVR or a third-party product such as Dirac. I also have a WiiM Ultra for preamp duties with another amp and WiiM's products are very good, with even more customization, bass management, and room correction. If you are considering Marantz, I would recommend the M1 for its bass management capabilities.

I have the Yamaha R-N800 in a 2nd office system. It’s been great so far, no complaints.

Thanks for replying. Ah thought that the 60N and 40N also had bass management. That's definitely an advantage for the Yamaha.
