Looking for, with the MY8-TD ADAT version 8-port Mini-YGDAI Expansion Card
what I've gathered
not an interface, just "breakout box" converter, in my case I'll need an interface with ADAT inputs, e.g. RME Digiface USB
zero digital outputs on its own
Usually the included Mini-YGDAI Expansion Card is AES/EBU version (MY8-AE)
Tascam TDIF-1 (MY8-TD) version is rarely seen
Analog ports, balanced XLR, inputs only, switchable mic/line level, gain adjustment
has Word Clock input and output for syncing with external equipment, master or slave (needed with ADAT signal clocking?)
24-bit linear analog-to-digital converters and 128-times oversampling, dynamic range of 110 dB
"broadcast-quality" preamps with independent 48V phantom power, derived from Yamaha's PM5D consoles
"electronically-balanced" analog insert points on two 1/4" TRS phone jacks for patching in external processors
remote control protocol
Anyone can vouch for SQ?
Quality alternatives suggestions welcome, under $200
better quality than Behringer Ultragain ADA 8200, or those maybe going for say $80 I'll bite.
