Yamaha A S701 - where can I get some verve?

Hi

Just bought a Yamaha A S701 amp to partner some incoming Wharfedale Aura 2 speakers.
I'm somewhat concerned to read What HiFi's review of the Yamaha A SXXX models (retrospectively) , where they think that it could do with some 'verve'.

I asked my HiFi dealer to add some verve to the shipping box, but he's all out, Any idea where I can find some verve?

To fix it, I'd start by playing music released on the Verve label and follow up with 'The Verve'. 'Urban Hymns' is a great album.

Leave it on repeat some of it should rub off.

I have a box I can sell you. You plug it into the mains, switch it on, and it has a single dial marked "verve"

It is very valuable to me. But I could be persuaded to part with it for only £10,000. Believe me it is worth every penny.

But do you have any measurements? I need to see a graph of something convincing before I buy it.

And why you reading WHF's reviews anyway, you may as well read the horoscope in the local newspaper. Just as much chance of getting something out of that nonsense.

Got that right for you. It is amazing. Verve increases with the cube of dial position. The only mistake I made was not having the dial go to eleven.
