XLR input issue with Artesia a22xt. Help

Headphone jack is working, mic is working, but when i plug my mic and turn the phantom power on, there is crackling and popping sounds, but no input whatsoever from the mic. The "signal 1" light flashes everytime it crackles but no audio is being recorded from the mic. I use Logic and a Macbook Air if that helps with anything but I believe this is a hardware issue. I dont think it is completely fried. Also when I change my mic from 0db to -20db the "signal 1" lights up for a sec.
