Ok, guys, so it's black Friday deals going like crazy on amazon, and I just wanted to attempt to upgrade my system. I'm a very simple little audiophile I just like to use headphones with my hisense budget a7n ( which has all the arc / e arc and hdr formats you can imagine though I don't think that matters here ) but right now I was using a little steelseries game dac gen 2 to directly connect to my xbox and honestly IMO sound wasn't half bad.
Then I came to the realization I'm a loner who mainly plays solo player games so I'dont need to be limiting myself to devices with mic outputs, so i saw a good deal on amazon for the 2nd version of the smsl m300se and took a bite at it.
But this is dragging out. Let me get to the point , I noticed the smsl m300se has what they say are "true" balanced xlr outputs, and that peaked my interest.
Now I don't have the most $ right now but I really believe in EQ headphones for particular sounds( I also bought the dolby access app for xbox which has its own custom eq sliders is that enough u think?
Anyways what i wanted to ask was would it be possible to connect the smsl thru usb for power to optical from the smsl to my hisesne , then use a pair of xlrs to connect the output pair on the back of the smsl into a douk audio t7 equalizer which has both rca in puts and outputs and balanced inputs and outputs .
That was real question sorry for the long story telling , I'm new here and appreciate any well informed friendly advice on if this would work bechz the douk audio t7 equalizer has no headphone port so my worry was would connecting my xlr output into the douk audio xlr input but keeping my headphones plugged into thr 4.4 mm on the smsl allow me to actually hear sound and eq with the douk t7 that easily M ke am I missing something here ?
