Hello i recently bought a fiio Ft1 to get a better understanding of if i like audiophile headphones and is their a really a difference between gaming headphones and audiophile headphones (i've mostly had gaming headphones my entire life) and since i've became more of a music addict as of late i decided i wanted to try out audiophile headphones so i bought the fiio ft1's and i love the build quality and noise isolation it gives but the audio seems a bit off like some tracks sound great and sound the exact same on my old headphones (Hyper X Cloud iii Wireless) i've tried eq's and its improved it a little but it still feels the same im thinking of getting a JCALLY JM6 Pro but im quite worried it wont really change much and it felt kind of a waste getting a audiophile headphone i really want to like the sound for these headphones (i feel like im going crazy)

This headphone should be relatively easy to drive. Amir reviewed the Fiio FT1 and didn't give it a recommendation, although he got it to sound OK with several EQ tweaks.

May I ask for your current dac/amp setup? I have an impression that you are currently using your PC audio jack, which if it is the case then you might have a bad case of impedance miss-match as it will completely alter your fiio Ft1 frequency response. If that is the case then a good dongle dac/amp will be enough to drive your fiio Ft1. I suggest you take a look at Fosi Audio DS2 dac/amp dongle.

May I ask for your current dac/amp setup?
