Sounds like we should just eliminate the tweeter entirely, and only have a super tweeter. Problem solved!

Agree, that's disappointing...

Hifi-voice have measured them though.

Here's a link:

I don't think that's a review actually.

But Hi-Fi News measurements are pretty cursory even when it is. I usually only read them by accident (or following a link in a thread like this).

The worst I've seen is Voxativ PI: https://www.fidelity-online.de/voxativ-pi-messungen/

It's some kind of joke? Or these measurements aren't correct?
Lowther Almira.

Lowther Almira.

The Voxactiv line takes a lot of the same design philosophies as Lowther (German vs. UK single driver).

The Stereophile measurements are neat for seeing the 1/6 octave smoothing versus higher resolution results.

Lii audio (China) supports measurements but argues that the smoothened response is what is reflective of what you hear.

This is not wrong, but an inherently smoother frequency response is *also* smoother to your ears when smoothened. I am always surprised that these single driver speakers always sound better than my preconceived imagination.

My listening experiences with various Voxativ loudspeakers were as poor as someone would expect from their measurements, here more:

Hats off to Hi-Fi News in their continuing mission to boldly test where no man has tested before, this week something really special :-

Prize for guessing which speaker is the usual packet of crisps flavour of your choice ( no peeking at the Hi-Fi News site though)

The lab report was just published late. The results look like pretty standard B&W:

Klipschorn. How should one measure these? Seems like below 400hz these measurements aren’t super relevant. The cliff at 45hz though….

I've owned Lowthers that's not surprising to me.

With some of these speakers it looks like they left them in the street, a truck ran over them, and then they did the test.
