This article, though being from an Irish man, makes no sense. The dude's a geek who just discovered football, he's kinda reinventing the wheel but it's the base of the game.

An AP News story on how the photo of a 20YO Lionel Messi helping bathe a two months-old Lamine Yamal came to be.....

Get ready to call it soccer and have half time shows

Ugh, just imagine what they would do to it. I can imagine the pitch meeting:

"Let's make the goals bigger so that more goals will be scored!"
"Change the game from two halves to four quarters so that we can have more advertisements"
"We can have our own World Cup where no other countries can participate"

The cup games are effectively four quarters.

« FIFA President Gianni Infantino is proud of and satisfied with the way the World Cup, which is now very close to its conclusion, has unfolded. He even claims that this World Cup is "the best in the tournament's history." Tomorrow's final should therefore be the cherry on the cake. »

Meh, the World Cup hasn't really made me dream for a very long time.

This WC (pun intended) was the first in the recent 40 years that I watched Zero, Null, not one game.
Imagine why.

France defence has gone fishing.

Saka didn't play in the semi, didn't even come on when England went down. Been one of England's best players for 5 years now.

But what has happened to France's defense? It seems to have completely collapsed.

Or rather, it doesn't just "seem" to have—it actually has.
They defend at 8 basically.
Give us back Norway's B team please :D

Going out there to win in this nothing game shows pride, team spirit and respect to the fans.

I’m delighted with how England have played the first half, but bittersweet knowing we had this quality on the bench for most of the Argentina game.

You can see it from a different point of view: it is a nothing game (as all others in this tournament), and why bother who wins?
Why to engage into someone elses business that is not yours?

French people have their own pride , sometimes only by subtle interactions receivable.

They woke up.

Looks like the French team have answered the "nothing game" argument themselves at the start of the second half. Two goals in a few minutes is anything but subtle.

Nobody was insulting French pride. Supporting or discussing a football match isn't an attack on a nation's identity.

Lol. Hey at least we're seeing goals galore
