Right. Well, if Nepo wins, I suspect a lot of people might feel that way, because of what happened last year. Magnus has a special place in the chess world, but he chose not to defend so we will never know for sure. Unless he pulls an MJ next year that is.

If you think game 6 was interesting wait till you watch game 12. It was more like a tennis game than a chess game! Ups and downs, and misses and blunders and unforced errors. Goes to show how strong Magnus is not only with his game but with his nerves and energy as well. Fascinating.

I saw some people commenting a cheap movie would have less plot twists and turns - could not agree more!

In the current format it takes 2 years to complete a full cycle of qualifications, candidates and the championship match.
