Greeting everyone,
I am having this problem with ear/headphones for years since, where plugging them directly into my PC or any other Phone - is not giving me the satisfaction of Volume, Bass and overall quality in general. I believe it's not a matter of the Handsfree product quality, but rather how it is interacted with the receiving device.

In that case I'm still using a cheap "Mini Woofer" from over 15 years ago when I first got my own things to listen to music with along with PC.
The woofer is one step from dying, it is tarnished, it has walked hundreds of thousands miles, more than it should have, it's a simple "2 channel" device as described over the internet by forgotten websites 10 years ago. The thing is it actually looks like 2.1 to me, where it has 2 speakers with their cable connected at the end as a single 3.5mm jack which goes on the back of the Woofer, the Woofer itself has it's own 3.5mm jack, the one that goes into your PC for example. built in the same way it's power cord is. Now the actual thing that triggers me is that when you plug your Headphones into this Woofer, the Woofer itself does not stop working like in any other modern nowdays receiver I have tried... what happens is your Headphones sound x3 times louder and get x3 more bass without any distortions at up to 85% Volume pump or any sound quality degradation some of the EQ softwares give me in order to boost them, but the actual distortions go to the woofer itself, so what happens is you get eargasms with your Headphones on but if somebody else is in the room would think you're completely blown-out because the woofer itself produces nothing but nonsense noises and distortion which you can't even hear.
I've had couple of better overall sound systems but they do nothing for me towards Headphones, because plugging them into the device makes it stop doing it's job and makes the Headphones work nothing different than plugging it directly into my PC, Monitor or whatever. So my ancient Mini Woofer might burn cheap 5-10$ headphones in few days up to 1 week, but it actually works fine with better priced pairs, let's say 20-30$ ones which is not much higher. I've also had the DT Pro 770 (80om), but I never went to try putting it into my Woofer, because I just don't want to accidentally blow out such an expensive and important for people like you product... however I ended up reselling them at -25% price a week or two after with just 20 minutes of experiencing them.

Now for the Phone which I have similar experience that gave me the sound quality, bass and volume, and never ever since I've got it, barely half of them with any other Phone - i believe is the Sony Xperia Z4 one which for some reason is Cancelled among the others and I've lost a few months after getting it back in 2016, but that's another not so important to me subject.

So what do I do, guys, the Mini Woofer plug is completely destroyed, there are just 2 points it connects the sound properly, one of which doesn't boot one side of the Headphones... I have to stick toothpicks around and in it for 10 minutes up to 30, sometimes I even give up but i think one of those times the inside thing will just split off the circuit board and fall apart. I'm pretty sure the answer is simple one, but since I'm a newb about it, it's why I post here.

Thanks for your time!

Hi and welcome to ASR. I've been trying to think of a solution to your dilemma and nothing comes to mind. You've been experiencing music in an extremely strange manner for years and I'm not aware of any product that would replicate such a unique setup. The advice I can think of is either, 1) get a good modern headphone amplifier and AKG K371 and get used to a different (more normal) representation of music, or 2) repair your existing setup.

Hey, thank you and for your effort.

I'm leaning more toward the second of the options given since it would be near impossible finding a more preserved product of the same type, I'm not sure if getting the Mini Woofer in it's new state would even give less distortions to itself or remove the minimal and acceptable static noise while not playing anything which is like a sacrifice in order everything else it gives my Headphone experience, but I believe so since my thing is overused. I've been considering the Amp/Dac options for a long time, but there is this other thing that when I leave my headphones leaning on the Woofer and adjust the volumes enough not to get it distorting (below 90%) - I could also enjoy a nice little sound system for when I just want to setback and chill or for times when I'm enjoying a meal and watch a podcast, movie or whatever without headphones bothering my head. So basically the thing works as an all-in-one setup, giving me a better experience than both plugging Headphones directly or using any other basic commercial-use sound system purposed for media like Creative Pebble for example, which I have rotting in the corner of my room. Now I'm not sure if getting the Amp/Dac along any open-back headphone would sound loud enough to let me enjoy a movie while I'm in my bed for example, or produce any bass at all for me while Headphones not on my head... but I hardly doubt it. I also got my BlackShark V2 X today, that came out of a Razer Bundle Box and they are a bit more dull on the sound whilst not wearing them than the cheap Sonys i was using until now, due to the isolation I believe, but wearing them is way better, I could even bump everything at 100% with no loss at all which makes me believe this setup has much more potential grouped with a real nice and expensive Headphones and not a bundle-pack leftovers.

Again, thanks for your time.

get this Klipsch ProMedia 2.1. I have used this on my desktop for gaming for 4 yrs. and then moved it to my bedroom LG TV(older) when I upgraded my desk and desktop audio. It seems to be the same concept as what you're using now. Also often used it with headphones.

You could rewire these solutions such that inserting the headphone plug in does not break the circuit. Most headphone sockets have a mechanism that breaks the circuit to other sections - you can stop that.

I might be confused but are you trying to use a woofer and headphones at the same time?

There is an easy, but not cheap, solution. You could get an active (powered) subwoofer and with a Y-splitter (and probably RCA adapter cables) you can send the headphone signal to both. Virtually all subwoofers made for home theater are active.

Yeah, that must be the problem, too bad i lack the wording in this sphere or any knowledge as such.
But how am i going to do that without destroying the headphones, splitting the jack and cables into the two sockets each and every woofer has on the back for the two speakers to connect... without even being sure what am i doing in first place and if it's even gonna work making a headphone into a type of 2.0 speaker system that connects to a woofer the same way this Auditek Mini Woofer works but has the two sockets combined into 1 for it's original 2 little speakers, but then again i would never be able to use them normally if i have 2 (left+right) cables separated at the end of my cable for each of it's speakers.

This must be it, brother, i knew it's an easy solution as this, i got a 2female to 1 male one right in front of me on the table all the time and i never thought about the reverse thing which would do the job i suppose, there is no reason the Headphones wouldn't get enhanced by the woofer now that the plugging solution is on, right ?

The "break" part of the socket inside the speaker is where the disconnection takes place, this is where you mod it.

Possibly this is a translation issue, but reading what you said is that you appear to leave the bigger/bass box powered, unplug the smaller satellite speakers and plug in the headphones so that you sort of have a "sub" going in the room whilst listening to higher frequencies via headphones. Sometimes you take the headphones off and leave them plugged in so that they are relatively quiet speakers in the room. I'm pretty confident that this is not what the headphone designers expected nor the designer of the 3-box computer system you are using.

But electronically, whilst what you are doing is unorthodox (which is why you can't buy a replacement), it's very simple to mimic by rewiring the socket on other 3-box computer speakers or repairing the socket in your current device. You don't need to change the headphone cables.

That's right, @DVDdoug got it basically done for me at first sight, as said i really know nothing about wiring or how these things work or even knew such way exists that you could get a 3.5mm female to 2 RCA males splitter and it's also probably cheap since i got plenty of woofers... got one bigger than a PC Case resting in the closet, but yeah it's just the way i like listening to music - blowing my brains out.
