But I shan't. Lola is, in fact, one of may favorite-est rock & roll songs... so I'll, instead, share a dandy cover version of it -- from Lake Street Dive (and their fine female bassist, Bridget Kearney, whom I first knew from an obscure band called Joy Kills Sorrow).
This cuts deeply into my heart to this day. The greatest love in my life. I was the biggest idiot I ever was, and this song reminds me. I remember the day I played this, very loud, and she was walking down the stairs in our house and I felt it. I felt love and loss in the same moment.
