WolfX700 Measurement of Topping A90 Headphone Amp

Customized 5k 4gang pot wired in parallel for best channel tracking. There's no large 4 gang ALPS that suit our impedance need so is any other large companies. Hence we went customized pots.
As seen in the test, the channel balance performance is phenomenal.

Doubt it, don't think Z is that big. And IMO if they want hit where the money is, head-fi seems to be where the purchasing power is. I mean here we see people says D90+A90 is SOTA "if you can afford it", over there on head-fi this is like a definition of budget combo.

They sound juvenile over at head Fi, most times they wait for more knowledgeable source's to measure stuff and feed off of that.

All this is just opinion, I respect other peoples, so no offense intended. It's just that I'm not into "professional" reviews unless they measure. I'm definitely not into video reviews by nature b/c I'm too impatient to get to the info I want. And I'm skeptical of anyone reviewing anything on camera for attention/money. If a reviewer makes money from reviewing, I take it with a grain of salt (even the John Atkinsons of the world). But I'm sure Z-whoever is a nice guy, even though his reviews are the antithesis (from the one I could stand to watch) of Amir's.

The retail is actually better in noise performance than the one sent. 2db better.

Yes I expected there to be some final tweaks, for example the gain that is better. I'm expecting a lot haha

Got mine today, very very happy with it. Volume knob is good, matches the D90 perfectly, no audible noise, very satisfying toggles. This is the perfect amp, it has performance just like my old THX887, but includes pre-out. For me, this is the perfect endgame amp.

The only place the A90 disappoints me is that it is so good, it makes my desktop speaker amp seem like a noisy piece of garbage. I need an S90 lol

the exact output impedance of my Topping dx3 pro v2 device is 6.2ohm. i am currently using meze 99 classics and akg k612 pro with headphones, both sound as tuned as they are by default. the Topping dx3 pro v2 is very good, I don't hear any distortion in the high gain position either, I use the k612 pro high gain -10db maximum. meze 99C and low gain -20db maximum. I would have just wondered how I could produce even better sound from both headphones. i have a guess the dx3 pro v2 is very killer sounding worth 220 € and i would have to spend a lot if i want a clear audible improvement. pl: Topping a90 + Topping D90. but it's already € 1,300, a lot, and I think I could barely hear a difference.

You get better sound from those headphones by buying different headphones. If you're going to spend hundreds of $$$ looking for better sound, keep the DX3 and buy some better 'phones.
