Just watched this on-demand on Comcast/NBC. Absolutely incredible. Mesmerizing. Perfection. Difficult beyond measure. Find a way to watch this if you have not seen it.

I will because their story is also incredible...so a Gold medal for her is bigger than the entire world. She's Ukrainian and he's French, and they won for Germany. Going into the finals they were fourth, so to win gold they had to skate more than perfect, but to win the heart of the judge's too...and they did...with an electrifying performance. ...Only in the reality of the Olympics spirit.

What scares me the most about speed skating is that the blades are sharp and long. I know from personal experience what a skate blade can do to your face. I still wear my scar, after almost sixty years.
