I don't know the exactly history, I didn't look anything up, so take this with a grain of salt.
I do know this part, a historically traditional serving of nihonshu (sake) is 180ml.

The little box was considered the amount of daily rice that could sustain a person.

On the other hand, this was slightly disappointing over two days. Which was somewhat surprising considering the good experiences I've had with the producer on his flagship wines.

This is a purchased bulk wine. Rene's estate stuff is quite good.

Youth was certainly among the factors working against it.

Funny, I'm having the opposite problem - my young, recession priced wines are going (fast) while I'm attempting to hold on to older, more interesting things for better times.
