Is it possible to install the APO Equalizer only for the SMSL USB DAC (SMSL DO400) output on my windows PC?
My NAD M10 V3 amplifier is connected to the Realtek Digital Output and i do not want EQ on this output when i change to it.

Is this possible or is the APO EQ changing the sound for every output on my pc?

You choose the outputs that eAPO is applied to when you set it up and you can change this at any time after.

This won’t help much probably – but I’m using Equalizer APO exclusively in those cases where I want a system-wide change.

Yes you can do that. By default, active filters apply to all devices that have the APO installed. If you only install it to the one device, only that one will be filtered. However In the configurator/installer you can choose the list of devices that EqualizerAPO is installed to. After that, you use the Configuration Editor to define your filters. After clicking the green plus you choose Control -> Device so that the subsequent filters in your file are applied only to the device or list of devices that you specify. You can also use filters and VSTs on inputs separately from outputs.

On my PC I have the desk speakers, TV speakers, and headphones all with separate EQs. I never need to change EqualizerAPO settings once I have them configured. Just by changing audio device in Windows, everything has the correct EQ applied. Same thing with my tablet which has the 8-channel DSP for my car system and also for my earphones if I use the tablet outside the car.

BTW you can put all the filters in config.txt or you can use sub-files. config.txt is the master list of filters that are active on your system, and you can use Control -> Include to easily add the sub-file for each device that you created.
