I've actually never used Spotify longterm.
I used pandora, it felt easier for me.
Switched to tidal, then suddenly switched to quboz. I feel like the volume is a little louder.

Nice with Looseless in Spotify!
There are som songs that wins on that in Qobuz but they are not have any working AI.
Spotify is just way a head on that.
I love the Friday Realease Radar and Monday Discover Weekly.

Qobuz just have My Weekly Q and say Tailored for you then as an 60+ they give me Cat Stevens as an Friday Party music...

Spotify? Their app works good, I will have to admit.
Considering that they took the millions they ripped off artists and subscribers and invested that in the defense industry, and they pay artists miserly, I never payed them a cent, and use their free service only if nothing else works.
An absolute no for me.
Qobuz ( best high quality paying artists service by far) and Tidal subscription.
It is standard practice with the big streaming services. If the artists agree to the terms (and their music would not be there if they didn't), it's none of our business. I still buy CDs from my fav artists even when it's on Spotify.

Never used it, will not because they do not remunerate artists enough and cut deals with pop stars. Sticking with Qobuz, Bandcamp and Soundcloud. Also they tantalized their devotees with high res for far too long before delivering it. But realize, just like TV streaming, the big fish will swallow the little ones and content will be restricted, fractionated, exclusive and cost more. Get ready for pay per title and enjoy ubiquity while it lasts.

I never used paid streaming because they pay the artists to little. I sometimes uses free streaming in situations where i need that music but don't have my own collection at hand, or to check tunes, and that is mostly youtube.

But i have a 8TB nas server half filled with high res music at home and an extensive vinyl collection, so... And in my car I listen to mixtapes (on USB or my phone stored) or (classical) radio mostly. Not streaming. Also, i'm often in more remote locations where internet or 5G is not availeble, so streaming is useless there. My cabin in the woods of the ardennes, where i'm often does not have internet, i need to go to the village nearby to have reception.

You can use Starlink

You can use Starlink
You don't get the point, the cabin needs to be off the grid. I'm working in IT, and outside my hours I don't want to be connected digital all the time looking at screens. I'm out in nature, talk to persons face to face and maybe listen to some music, but not necesairly.

And the owner of Starlink is also not someone want to support, so no...
