Will this amp be good for my DIY speaker build?

Hello everybody,
I'm currenly building a pair of Mechano23 speakers. I do already have an amp, it's AKAI AM-U210:

However, when I was testing it with my headphones, the power meter in the front was constantly showing it sends more power to the right than to the left channel (and it was audible - the bass was more on the right).

Planning to have my Mechanos on my desk, I began to look on the web if there are smaller amps and found class D amps, the one I really like visually is the Fosi Audio V3 amp.

Later I found out that I got a very positive review on this site.

My question is: will it work well with my Mechanos? The Fosi amp is 2x300W. Since the speakers I'm making are DIY, I'm not sure what impedance are they. Nonetheless, they are small speakers, definetly not needing 300W of power each. If this is not the ideal amp for my setup, what (ideally small) amp would you recommend?

One thing I would love on this amp is the bass/treble control. But maybe that can be done with software in an elegant way? Let me know.

Thank you, Filip

Just to make sure the amplifier is the problem, maybe get a Y-splitter to send the same signal to both channels.
