Will Denon AVC 4500h be able to handle Epicon 6 or Epikore7?

Hi all,
I am planning to upgrade HT setup with new fronts for music listening, and presently I have denon AVR 4500h with Dali Rubicon 6 as fronts. Crossover @80hz to B&W DB4 sub.

I would like to go for a solution ready for future upgrades. I do not have budget for a surround processor, multichannel amp AND Epicon 6.

So, if I buy Epicon 6, do I then need a power amp? If so, which one do you recommend?

According to SPL calc. My SPL will be 97 ish. (Using 1 speaker as reference number)

Listening to loud music now, I hear this noise from the speakers when using lossless streaming when no music is playing. Is this due to high output with an integrated receiver?

I hope you can help me to decide on a way forward :)

Without measurements, you can't be sure Epicon is an improvement over Rubicon. It might not be worth the investment. For that kind of money you can get something that is truly end game.

Noise is "difficult". Does it happen with other sources or only when the streamer is selected? Is it gone when it's disconnected? What's the nature of the noise? Hum, hiss, whine?

It looks like all of those speakers have about the same sensitivity so if they go loud enough now you shouldn't need more amplifier power.

I would describe it a hiss (would describe it as a snowy effect, like an fffffff-kind of sound) only from streaming yes. Choosing another input i can get very low noise, but only by turning volume above ref.

On Facebook foras and in stores they ALL claim Epi needs more power to unfold. But I can’t find the math behind. I know it not all about math, but then again, it actually is :)
I do acknowledge these ppl actually have heard them, which I haven’t yet.

Hi Svend
I don’t understand why I need measurements when it comes to finding the best speaker.
Are you claiming Rubicon or kore, are as good as Epi?

Yeah. More expensive doesn't always mean better. Without measurements, you don't know if there are improvement in distortion, frequency response, directivity or compression.

I would rather add subwoofers and Dirac ART to your setup than new speakers. You are reaching diminishing returns with the Rubicons.

The more expensive and bigger speakers can play louder and deeper, but doesn't necessarily sound better. Here is a good example from someone who listened to different models from Genelec.
