Will a high quality xlr cable improve the sound?

I have quite a few XLR cables and the best ones are from our local music store. They are built with real neutrik etc components and have been durability tested by musicians that may plug unplug, twist, bend more than most home equipment ever does, in a single day. The cheapest ones from the music store are ok but the rubber strain relief tends to pull out and just feels like it won't last as long.

Well I went for the £190 QED cable because I like it and I am not a Peasant. Digital amps sound crap to me I prefer class ab. How can you add room correction from two or more speakers? It dulls the music and is nothing but a fancy equaliser, which was very popular in the eighties.

Hearing is not a Science in a purest sense, our ears actually like distortion.
What we like to hear is the concern of the content. Getting that content to our ears without altering it to the extent possible is the concern of the playback system. That includes mitigating the influence of the room, which requires equalization. The content is sometimes flawed and equalization can help compensate for that.

Or just continue to believe in magic and hand your money over to charlatans selling you incantations and potions.

I found these ones on Amazon, they seem like a bargain at £190.

I use these and they work great:

Poe's law only because real audiophiles also say stuff this silly. I call a troll though.

I like my potions they give me pleasure. Why would you want me to like what you want? Are you trying to create an army of replicas. Many small businesses would fail without the hype surrounding their products. Enjoy your iPod.
Certainly an odd reply to one's own thread asking for purchasing recommendations.

Also odd to believe wanting people to save their money while enjoying high quality sound makes you a bad guy.

If you studied wave theory you would know it is impossible to create a sound field of say a concert in the living room. The waves are just not going to behave in the same way. You are merely hearing a poor replica of that sound.

Amusing. My setup is pretty unique amongst the members here. That really has nothing to do with understanding how things work instead of relying on mysticism and reveling in your own ignorance, though.

And many companies, big and small, have succeeded through good engineering and value.
Bricks and mortar hifi dealers are now exceedingly rare. This is evidence enough that there is less demand for high fidelity audio.

I think you should learn how to spell ignorance before you start calling peoples names. Place your first name in front of the word and it would be more accurate.

Who said the subject was saving money.

We're supposed to be bemoaning the demise of companies making their living on obscenely marked-up snake oil now?
Yeah, we wouldn't want to stop giving our money to hucksters, however would they feed their families?

If someone wants to buy it, let them. It might put food on the sales persons table.
