Checking out Ron on Flicker I see that his 'Wild Life' library has shifted more & more to the human female variety. That's not entirely bad, mind you :D
Well, actually less so than 5 years ago. Female portraits make up less than half of the photos and most are old.

@JRowland , I didn't know NC mountains looks very like the Balkan mountains.

Landslide from a year ago, on a top was a giant rock with a spring at the base. Heavy rain after it slide with the wood at bottom in the river. Surprisingly the electric pole and single thin tree survived. ( my phone cam perspective is awful -the slope angle is at least 45° ):

We had a Hurricane come up from the south a few months back that was preceded by 3 days of steady rain, it tore this area up. Flooding and lots of landslides, this is the bridge at the bottom of the mountain I live on right after the rains stopped.

That was just a stream, the river down the other side of my mountain was much much worse

The farmer across the bridge recovered a few of his milk tanks from a lake in the next state over.

A famous US road real local to me called the Blue Ridge Parkway runs across the tops of a lot of the tallest mountains in the area and is part of the US Parks system. It looked like this the next day, some of it is still being repaired.
