If you stand still long enough you can probably hear a lyrebird [and grow moss on your boots...]. Rain forest near Noojee, Gippsland, Victoria

Doesn't get much wilder (and sorry if it is disturbing, but nature works that way)... beautiful Point Lobos, California. We did not go for our ocean swim that day...
Clearly very fresh great white shark predation... poor thing. Made it back to the beautiful shore to expire... or maybe just washed up... :-(
PS: It was not a small seal. There was some 18 footer or so up there, said the expert.

@pablolie it's disturbing, but that is the reality of nature.

What a difference a day makes! Weekend snow to today's sun, and after a lot of shoveling of the back deck... Pike's Peak in the background.

Triplet Falls in the Otway Ranges, Victoria (probably should have worn some proper footwear instead of flip-flops....)

Easier to get to, (but a few more tourists and I couldn't get in the water either) Hopetoun Falls, Otways Victoria

Bannerman's Island on the Hudson river in Dutchess County New York where I grew up. We used to take a rubber raft out there to explore. This is from way back before it collapsed from the weather. The others are the view from the castle boat dock called "Wee Bay Steps".
